This green chutney is the combination of mint leaves, coconut and spices which can be served with steamed hot rice or can be used as a spread for sandwiches. Enjoy cooking this side dish.

Urid dal | 1/2 cup |
Fenugreek seeds | 1/2 table spoon |
Red dried chillies | 4 or 5 pieces |
Fresh coconut pieces | 1/2 cup |
Tamarind paste | 1 tea spoon |
Salt | Add to taste |
Turmeric | A pinch |
Method:
Heat the oil in a pan. Add Urid dal, fenugreek seeds, dried red chillies, tamarind paste, salt, turmeric and let them fry for one to two minutes. Add mint leaves and finely cut coconut pieces to the mixture, switch off the flame. Cool down the mixture and grind it to smooth paste. Serve this chutney with hot rice and enjoy.
